Reflective Practice Groups
& Supervision for Writing Coaches
In the counselling profession, supervision is common practice where you talk through your client work with another, often senior, counsellor. It allows you to assess your work, your relationships, ethics, boundaries and ensure you are doing the best for your client but also protecting yourself.
If you are providing coaching, supervision is invaluable. Discuss your work with a friendly colleague; chat about client work to ensure you’re providing the best service possible; examine your feelings about particular clients/work and help to hold your boundaries. I have group supervision sessions (reflective practice groups) running monthly – these are especially good for new coaches who’d like to give it a try. Places are available if you are a member of The Coaching Compass – sign up here
