Hi, I'm Aimee,

a human writing coach and editor specialising in romance and women's fiction

I work with writers who care deeply about their stories, particularly romance authors who want to write emotionally intelligent, well-structured books without losing their voice along the way. I’m here to help you create your best work. I’ll be there to support you throughout the whole process, from outlining to publishing.

My background in education and counselling allows me to teach, encourage, and empathise.

Alongside my work with writers, I run The Coaching Compass where I help writing coaches and editors develop their skills and businesses through teaching, mentoring, supervision and coaching. I also deliver courses for the CIEP (the Chartered Institute of Editing & Proofreading) of which I’m a professional member.

When I’m not working, I’m either reading with endless mugs of tea, pottering in the garden, working with my menagerie of animals, or trying to get my three teenagers out of bed at a reasonable hour!

Why work with me?

*I’ve developed over 100 books with independent authors

*I’m a genre specialist (romance, women’s and emotionally driven fiction)

*I’m a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP)

*I have a team of professionals who can help you at all stages of your work from concept to publication

*I’m trusted by writers and publishing professionals internationally

*I’m human and don’t use AI in my editing work
